Marmaris is the reliable start and finish
The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism lists Marmaris Yacht Port, Martı Marina and other licensed facilities. That gives you a practical choice between city access, a quieter base and a shorter first leg toward Bozburun. Confirm the exact marina, fuel dock, berth length and checkout time; capacities published by the ministry are reference data, not a reservation.
GoTürkiye’s Marmaris routes highlight Selimiye, Bozburun, Söğüt, Orhaniye and Kızkumu. Use them as a shore-experience spine, then select the overnight bay by wind direction and mooring availability rather than by the longest sightseeing list.

Bozburun is about craft, bays and berth discipline
GoTürkiye describes Bozburun as a sheltered natural-harbour peninsula known for traditional wooden-boat building. That makes it a strong shore stop, but not a promise of unlimited marina capacity. Call the restaurant or marina before arrival, agree stern-to or buoy procedure and keep Söğüt or Selimiye as the backup.
The value of the route is not maximum mileage. A mixed crew gets time for a swim, a village meal and a calm approach. Keep one whole day with no port change so the skipper can absorb a forecast shift without sacrificing the return.

Two weather scenarios and a safe finish
Scenario A: light to moderate wind and a stable sea. Keep Datça optional for Day 6, but return to the Marmaris side before the final night. Scenario B: fresh wind, building swell or uncertain visibility. Stay around Orhaniye, Selimiye and Bozburun, drop Datça and keep Day 6 for fuel and the base approach.
Do not judge the Datça leg from the calm inside Marmaris Bay. Check wind at the headland, gusts on the return and the operator’s berth confirmation. The earlier you cancel a marginal extension, the more relaxed the final day becomes.
Documents, costs and booking links
Budget yacht, fuel, marina or restaurant moorings, provisions, tourist tax, local harbour dues and the refundable deposit separately. Foreign-flagged yachts must enter and leave Türkiye through frontier ports; confirm transit-log, registration, insurance, licence and crew-list requirements with the base or agent.
