Choose the base by the first and last leg
Bodrum gives city services and access to the central peninsula; Yalıkavak and Turgutreis can change the first day’s distance and the final fuel plan. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism lists marinas across Bodrum, Datça and nearby ports, but the published capacity is not a guarantee for your charter date. Ask for the exact basin, draft, fuel dock and Saturday checkout rule.
A seven-day charter is not seven full passage days. Protect the handover, one Gökova weather day and the final return. If Datça is essential, reserve the longest open-water leg for the best forecast rather than for a fixed weekday.

Gökova is the protected core; Datça is the decision leg
GoTürkiye’s Blue Voyage overview names Orak, Sedir, Küfre, Löngöz, English Harbour, Değirmen Bükü and Seven Islands among the Gökova highlights, and lists Datça coves and Knidos as the western extension. Use those names to build intent-rich content, but confirm landing rules, moorings and local fees with the operator before arrival.
The route has two valid speeds. In a settled forecast, use Day 5 for Datça or Knidos. In a fresh wind, stay in Gökova, move between confirmed bays and return to Bodrum on Day 6. This is not a reduced experience: Gökova itself supplies the protected swimming and shore programme.

Paperwork, costs and weather scenarios
Budget charter, fuel, marina or pontoon nights, local harbour dues, tourist tax, provisions and deposit separately. Foreign-flagged yachts must use frontier ports for entry and exit, and customs records the yacht in the owner’s or captain’s passport. Confirm transit log, insurance, licence, crew list and any agency fee before payment.
Scenario A: stable wind — include Datça or Knidos and return via Gökova. Scenario B: fresh wind or poor visibility — stay inside the bay, drop the western extension and return one day early.
