I · The steppe
I was born in the steppe region of Ukraine — a land with no sea and no great river. Perhaps that is exactly why the sea became my dream. After school I planned to enrol in a maritime academy. Life took a different course: for many years I built businesses in various fields, yet the dream never left me.
II · The sea
Twenty years ago I bought my first sailing yacht, a Bavaria 32. A crew of seven came together, and we won nearly every regatta in Ukraine, becoming national champions. Then came an X-Yachts 35, which took us to the international stage — the World and European Championships, the Championship of Spain. Aboard her I sailed almost the entire Mediterranean, from Spain to Croatia and Greece, and made the passage from La Rochelle to Barcelona across the Bay of Biscay and through Gibraltar. Behind me now are more than a hundred countries — the Atlantic, the Pacific, and the Indian Ocean.
III · The pain
TrimTeam was born from a pain I felt myself. Planning a voyage along the Amalfi Coast, I set out to choose a catamaran — and drowned in thousands of listings. Replies from owners took days, and even then I was never certain I had found the truly best option. I — someone who knows this industry from the inside — was spending weeks on something that should take minutes.
But this is not only about speed. Choosing the right vessel means understanding dozens of details an expert weighs instinctively — and a first-timer doesn’t even know to ask about.

IV · The name
The name TrimTeam comes from sailing. Trim is the split-second tuning of the sails that turns a drift into a true course. Team is a crew working as one seamless mechanism. V · Time
