How to use this seven-day plan
This is a decision framework, not a promise of fixed stops. Confirm weather, berth availability, local restrictions and the skipper’s assessment every day.
Day-by-day route
- Day 1 — Portisco: handover and a short protected first night in the Gulf of Cugnana.
- Day 2 — Costa Smeralda: a modest leg and swimming stop, subject to berth availability.
- Day 3 — La Maddalena: enter the archipelago only with current park and weather checks.
- Day 4 — Caprera / La Maddalena area: keep this as a low-mileage exploration day.
- Day 5 — choose a northern island stop or remain in the sheltered archipelago.
- Day 6 — return toward Portisco with a flexible overnight.
- Day 7 — Portisco: fuel and check-out.

Scenario A: stable forecast
Stable forecast: use the middle of the week for La Maddalena and a longer northern leg, but retain a berth or anchorage option before the return.
Keep the longest leg in the middle of the week, when the crew is rested and there is still time to change the return plan.
Scenario B: wind or swell
Wind scenario: stay inside the La Maddalena/Cugnana area, skip any exposed northern leg and treat park rules and local advice as the final decision.
A route that becomes shorter for safety is not a failed charter. It is the correct operational decision.
Return rule
Be in the base area the afternoon before formal check-out. Refuel, complete the log and leave the final morning for inspection and disembarkation.
