Set the party brief before you compare yachts
Confirm guest count, adults only or mixed ages, start and return time, music level, swim confidence, dietary needs, motion sensitivity and the total budget per guest. The organizer should be the single point of contact for changes, allergies and emergency information.
Request a line-item quote: yacht, skipper, fuel, berth or buoy, cleaning, provisions, catering, transfers, towels, water toys and deposit. A “party package” is not a substitute for knowing what is actually included.

Choose the boat for social space and recovery
A catamaran is usually the easiest party layout: wide cockpit, shade, stable dining and separated cabins. Check the legal guest capacity, number of heads, fridge volume, charging points, swim platform and where wet gear dries. More beds do not automatically mean more usable party space.
Ask the skipper where music is acceptable, whether glass is allowed on deck, how swimming is supervised and how late a return can be without rushing. Build in a quiet hour: a good hen party needs a reset between water, food and dancing.
A realistic hen-party run of show
09:30 — check-in, safety brief and cold drinks. 10:30 — depart for the first sheltered swim stop. 13:00 — catered lunch and the planned games or speeches. 15:00 — second stop only if the skipper approves the forecast. 17:00 — return with a buffer for fuel and berth. 18:30 — shore dinner or hotel transfer.
Keep the games short, dry and optional. No one should be pressured to swim, drink or perform. The skipper controls the route, anchoring and safety even when the group has a detailed party schedule.
Food, music and responsible party rules
Send allergies and dietary requirements before provisioning. Confirm whether the crew plates food, whether cake refrigeration is available and how waste is removed. Use reusable decorations; avoid confetti, loose balloons, open flames and unsecured glass.
