What a week actually costs, by season
The figures below come from our own catalogue of Greek catamarans, and every one of them already includes a licensed captain — that is how prices are quoted on this site. Half the boats fall inside the middle range; the outer columns show where the cheapest and the largest boats sit.
| Season | Typical week (with captain) | Entry level | Large / premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| May, June, September, October | €5,950–9,800 | from €4,870 | up to €14,500+ |
| July–August (peak) | €8,220–12,470 | from €6,850 | up to €19,000+ |
What sits on top of the weekly rate
The weekly rate covers the catamaran and the captain. The items below are charged by the base, not by us, and the ranges are typical for Greece in 2026. In a TrimTeam quote the mandatory ones are listed and priced before you pay — they are the usual source of "hidden costs" elsewhere.
| Cost item | Typical 2026 range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Catamaran + captain, per week | €4,870–19,000 | Lowest in May/October, highest in July/August |
| Charter pack (cleaning, linens, gas, transit log) | €350–600 | Mandatory at most bases; shown in the quote |
| Fuel | €300–600 / week | Depends on how much you motor |
| Mooring / port fees | €15–40 small ports · €50–150+ marinas, per night | Anchoring in a bay is free |
| Provisioning (food & drink) | €700–1,200 / week | Optional — many groups eat ashore |
| Refundable security deposit | €2,000–4,000 | Returned if the yacht comes back undamaged |
Why a captain costs less than people expect
A skipper in Greece is charged at roughly €190–210 per day plus their food, which on a week comes to €1,300–1,500 — a small share of the total, and it removes the licence requirement entirely. That is why our prices are quoted with the captain already in them: on most boats the difference against a bareboat rate is smaller than a single night in a busy marina.
Where "hidden costs" come from
Almost every unpleasant surprise comes from a cost quoted separately from the headline rate: the charter pack, the deposit, the skipper, mooring. A transparent quote lists all of them before you pay. TrimTeam quotes charters all-in — boat, captain and expected extras in writing, on your dates, before any payment.
